Even in the book description, there were incorrect word usages. When Jessica went on her blind date at the beginning of the book, he was called Jeff, then referred to as Paul, momentarily confusing the heck out of me. Thereafter just far too many mistakes were left to stand, not to mention the strange dynamic between overbearing alpha and his chosen human mate. Adding to that is the uneasy feeling of veering into bestiality with some of the sex scenes, which are written differently than in other werewolf romances. An easy read but the heroine is a bit too out there. She seems to have no understanding of the trouble she creates or any consideration for them. She’ll take blame after the event but you can only do that so many times.
Loved the story. It was well-paced and kept my attention until completed. Heroine is independent but willing and capable of falling in love. You made the alpha sexy, bold, domineering, yet, sensitive...I look forward to reading the rest of the series. Thanks!!
I loved this book and the romance and other interactions between the hero and heroine. The story was interesting with twists and turns that kept the surprises coming. I did not want to put the book down. I recommend this book to mature readers due to some sexual content and violence committed by others, not the hero!
Good start to a werewolf series, it was a little predictable. It's hard to find a good were series that follows the main couple through all the books. It is my pet peeve when each book in a series is new characters, I don't understand why that isn't just an individual book. I also really appreciate that it didn't have the dreadful love triangle, I am so over those!!!
I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I enjoyed the story. Was glad that the characters back story was coming into play. At first it didn't look like we would learn anything about the characters. Was really getting into the story before it ended. The female lead wasn't very likable to me. She was indifferent to the people around her. I understood she didn't want to change. I just feel she could've went about it a different way. She was never forced and she didn't take time to learn what her choices meant to the pack and exscpeially the Alpha. Was a nice read over all.
I loved reading about Jessica and Brian and you will too. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I just love shifter books!! Jessica is the town doctor and Brian is the local Alpha. Out with a blink date Jessica sees this extremely handsome man who she can't seem to take her eyes off of. After a few strange assurances with some burly men, Jessica soon finds out about werewolves and the being Brian's mate. But something or someone is trying to keep them apart. I can't wait to read more of this series to see what happens next.
Jessica is a 28 year old physician who agrees to a blind date that is horrible. She eyes a tall, dark mysterious stranger across the room leering at her. Jessica has no idea that a rendezvou with this man would change her life and put her in danger. Brian Jager is an alpha of a werewolf pack and he makes his desire for her known by the mysterious happenings in her life. When her life is put into danger Brian comes through to aid and protect her. Jessica is stubborn and has no desire to listen to Brian until her life is threatened yet again. This book is well written with sarcastic wit, action, survival, love, romance and hot sex.
